A Taste of the Solomons 3 – Gizo & Kolombangara

This 10 day ‘Taste of’ tour focuses on the islands of Gizo and Kolombangara, while also visiting nearby smaller islands, each home to their own endemic White-eyes. Gizo is a fantastic destination for divers, while Kolombangara offers rich opportunities for both dedicated birders and general naturalists. The climb to the volcano’s rim, home to several endemic birds, is strenuous and not for the faint-hearted, but the lowlands of Kolombangara provide a gentler alternative with plenty of interesting species.

This tour involves flights in small aircraft and sea crossings in small boats.

All our bird tours are run in collaboration with Sicklebill Safaris, our trusted partners in delivering world-class birding across the Solomon Islands. For more information about this tour, please contact Sue, Phil or Rowan at info@s2travel.com.au
