A Taste of The Solomons 2 – Santa Isabel Pitta Hunt

This short ‘Taste of’ tour visits Santa Isabel Island in the northern Solomons, home to some of the world’s rarest birds. Highlights include the elusive Black-faced Pitta—the only pitta in the Solomons—alongside Solomon’s Frogmouth, Woodford’s Rail, and the striking Fearful Owl. Secretive, brightly coloured, and highly sought after, the Black-faced Pitta is a true jewel of the avian world, making this tour a must for dedicated birders.

This 8 day tour involves flights in small aeroplanes.

All our bird tours are run in collaboration with Sicklebill Safaris, our trusted partners in delivering world-class birding across the Solomon Islands. For more information about this tour, please contact Sue, Phil or Rowan at info@s2travel.com.au
