We offer adventures designed for those of you that want to experience soft adventure through to your adrenalin seeking thrill seekers. We white water raft some of the best rivers in the world year round, sea kayak over the Great Barrier Reef and fly the largest hot air balloon in the world, to mention but a few of the activities that await you.

The Barron River is perfect for anyone who hasn’t tried White Water Rafting or those looking for an afternoon of fun and excitement.

FISHING

THE OPEN WATERS, creeks and deep channels of the Cairns Estuary System are a paradise for anglers and fishermen alike. Cairns-Trinity Inlet is a State Marine Park, this natural habitat has numerous deep holes, mudflats, snags, and drop-offs making it a great location to catch a variety of fish species. The Cairns Estuary area has over 100kms of waterways just at our backdoor, so let us show you our backyard. 

We use a 5.8 metre (20 foot in the old language) flat-bottom punt, fully equipped with the latest fish finding and safety gear and designed for the smooth waters of the estuaries and rivers systems of Far North Queensland.

Common species of fish caught when Fishing in Cairns Inlet are Fingermark, Mangrove Jack, Estuary Cod, Grunter (Javelin Fish), Salmon, Queen Fish (Queenies), GTs (Trevally), Thread Fin Salmon, Bream, Mud Crabs and 'Every Cairns fisherman's dream' ... The Barramundi!

A half day estuary fishing session will cost from $95 per person, for up to 6 people. A full day on the reef starts at $240 per person, for up to 4. Fishing in the Mulgrave or Russell Rivers is a good day out at $200 a head, with a maximum of 6.

FITZROY ISLAND

Fitzroy Island is a large tropical island, just a 45 minute Fast Cat ride (about 30kms) from Cairns, and is surrounded by a reef system that forms part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, making it the perfect accessible base for snorkelling, diving and exploring the reef.

There are five distinctly different types of accommodation, ranging from affordable 4.5 star Resort facilities, to Divers accommodation and change facilities, to a Camping Ground, and to Day Visitor facilities (including Foxy’s Bar and Café and a Retail Shop).

CAIRNS TROPICAL ZOO

This award winning attraction is, simply, the most outstanding wildlife experience in the Cairns’ region. KURANDA RAILWAY

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, is a world first in environmental tourism taking you on an amazing experience over Australia’s World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest canopy and deep into the forest.

Your Skyrail experience should take approximately 1½ hours and includes spending time at the two rainforest mid-stations. Allow 20 minutes for each station, to enjoy Ranger guided boardwalk tours and visit the Rainforest Interpretation Centre, lookouts and historical displays.

The famous Kuranda Scenic Railway was built over 100 years ago and winds its way through the tropical mountain ranges between Cairns and Kuranda.

This package includes time for you to explore Kuranda ‘The Village in the Rainforest’. There are rainforest walks, markets, cafes, restaurants, and galleries for you to visit. This package is a full day tour experience with morning departures. Times will be offered during the booking process.

HARBOUR CRUISES

TAKE IN the natural beauty of Cairns and surrounds on a cruise in the Harbour and Trinity Inlet. A choice of day time or a sunset cruise, the latter having the option of dinner afterwards at Dundee's restaurant.

Alongside Cairns is a magnificent tidal estuary that is rarely seen, except by fishermen. Only accessible by boat, M.V. Crocodile Explorer is a comfortable, air-conditioned vessel taking small numbers of visitors along Trinity Inlet on this scenic nature cruise. With waterways winding through a 300 square kilometre maze of mangroves, expect rich diverse wildlife, stunning scenery and a relaxing cruise with informative commentary from our crew. OUR CAIRNS sunset tour rates as one of the top ten things to do in Cairns and is sure to be an unforgettable evening. Picture yourself relaxing on a sunset cruise in Cairns, standing on the deck with a drink in hand, the breeze blowing through your hair with the sun setting over Cairns’ lush mountains throwing out a glorious mix of colours into the sky above.

GREEN ISLAND

A visit to the Great Barrier Reef is the most popular thing to do whilst in Cairns. GREEN ISLAND is a beautiful coral cay on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef with unique island rainforests, surrounded by white sandy beaches & magnificent coral reefs and abundant marine life.

Choose to snorkel, dive, stay dry or view the spectacular underwater reefs in our semi submarine or glass bottom boat, or simply laze on the white sandy beach; these are only a few of the many reef and island activities available. Our friendly crew will help you to organise your activities to make the most of your time on Green Island.

A half day reef cruise departing Cairns at 9.00am allows 2 hours on Green Island and arrives back in Cairns at 12.45pm.

A half day reef cruise departing Cairns at 1.00pm allows 2 hours on Green Island and arrives back in Cairns at 5.00pm.”Reef Rocket” is a modern comfortable air-conditioned high speed catamaran with a relaxed atmosphere. Travel time to Green Island is 45 minutes from Cairns.

MICHAELMAS CAY

MICHAELMAS CAY is a picturesque reef sand island surrounded by magical coral gardens teeming with an incredible diversity of marine life. The cay is a protected seabird sanctuary playing host to over 20,000 migratory seabirds... one of the most important nesting sites in the Southern Hemisphere.

A day tour to this magnificent reef in an air-conditioned luxury catamaran will let you forget that the real world exists; where you get your buffet lunch prepared by our chefs on board, take an underwater tour in an air-conditioned submersible vessel, swim, snorkel or dive on an uncrowded beach and reef, or listen to the informative presentations by the marine biologists.

Your day starts off with a leisurely 2 hour cruise to the reef, and the rest of the day with hot and cold buffet lunch, morning and afternoon teas, as well as snorkelling equipment, guided buirding tour, submersible tour and ecological presentations all included.
